Every single workplace has manual handling issues. And manual handling is the single greatest source of injury in the workplace.
WorkSafe Victoria has released new guidance for employers on how to review and revise risk control measures for manual handling. As an employer, you must control the risk of musculoskeletal disorder associated with hazardous manual handling, so far as reasonably practicable. If the risk can't be eliminated, you must reduce the risk by implementing risk control measures following the hierarchy of control.
