The cost of poor OHS culture

In its latest edition of Safety Soapbox, WorkSafe reveals that record court fines for failing to keep workplaces safe were issued in 2015-2016. These new figures indicate that 108 businesses and 21 individuals were fined or ordered to pay restitution totalling more than $6.2 million. It is re-assuring to see that finally WorkSafe is showing some teeth in the fight against bad OHS culture in Victorian workplaces.
